Therapist website design · Case study
A psychology website that begins with how people feel.
A quieter place to begin
What would you like support with? A calm digital experience for anxiety, burnout, relationships and life changes. Explore the live experience ↗Overview
Papilia is a psychology-clinic website designed around a simple idea: people seeking support should not need to understand clinical terminology before they can begin. The experience starts with familiar feelings and gently guides visitors toward an appointment request.
The design challenge
Make the route to support feel human, private and uncomplicated.
Therapy websites often present long lists of modalities or practitioner information before answering the visitor’s immediate question: can this place help with what I am experiencing?
Papilia needed an emotionally sensitive structure that remained practical and easy to navigate.
Design decisions
Turning strategy into a clear digital experience.
Begin with the visitor
The opening question focuses on what the visitor needs support with instead of immediately describing the clinic.
Reduce emotional friction
Gentle wording, generous space and clear choices make the first step feel manageable rather than clinical.
A focused request flow
Support needs, preferred timing and contact details are gathered in a short, understandable sequence.
The outcome
A quiet, focused experience with fewer barriers to taking the first step.
The design organizes support around recognizable needs such as anxiety, exhaustion, grief and relationships. Visitors can understand session options, choose online or in-person care and submit a concise request without navigating an overwhelming website.
